Job Title: Technical Advisor

Duration: 1 March 2021 to 31 December 2021, with the possibility of extension
RESPONSIBILITIES
As technical advisor, for Epidemic Prevention (Output 3) you are responsible for the following activities:

Provide Technical support in the communication between MoHS (central and district level) and the Project Team including the project director in the frame on the agreed OP-Plan.

Implement, monitor and document the planed Interventions for Epidemic Prevention together with the DHMT and in good communication with the central level, according to OP-Plan.

Regular Briefing to Project Director on development of execution

Collaborate with the GIZ-Regional Pandemic Program

Organize and moderate workshops and trainings of the project for Output 3 activities
-
Carry out assigned work regarding project activities agreed with partners, agreements made within the team or in consultations with the project director.

Contribute to preparing and implementing the steering process with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.

Integrate results and achievements into teamwork and activities with all relevant groups;

Knowledge and innovation management and dissemination of information to target groups inclusive of workshops, seminars etc.

Support to results-based monitoring of output 3.

All financing arrangements for activities in Epidemic Prevention (Service request, local subsidies etc.) and facilitate settlement.

Regular activity reporting and contribution to annual reporting and any other report required by GIZ.

Preparation and facilitation of presentations as needed.

Facilitate logistical arrangements as the need may arise.

Performance of any other activity requested by the project director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
-
Professional experience in epidemiology, public health and / or cross-border disease surveillance
-
Experience in the area of institutionalization of programs and / or systems, an advantage in the area of the reporting and response system for diseases with epidemic risk
-
Practical experience in digital Programms (eIDSR etc.)
-
Professional experience as a trainer (adult education) in the field of public health and / or epidemic prevention.

Experience in developing teaching materials and standard schedules.
-
Experience in working with the PHNEOC and district health authorities is an advantage
