OVERVIEW:
Country Lodge, a hotel in Freetown, is hiring Waiters and Waitresses with the following responsibilities:

 

• Assist customers in making selections from the menu

• Take orders of drinks and food

• Record orders accurately and ensure any special requests are communicated to the kitchen

• Serve food and drinks to customers in a prompt and professional manner

• Address customer inquiries

• Manage challenging customer situations and know when to escalate to Management

• Verify age of customers before serving them alcohol or tobacco products, to ensure legal drinking age compliance

• Keep service areas, tables and chairs are clean and organised

• Have a thorough understanding of Country Lodge's drinks and food menu

• Explain menu offerings, ingredients and any special promotions to customers

• Maintain a friendly and inviting atmosphere for customers

• Interact with customers in a courteous and attentive manner

• Maintain efficient communication with kitchen staff to ensure timely service

• Follow food hygiene and safety standards in handling food and serving customers

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Attend training sessions

• Able to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to practice basic food hygiene and safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling beverages
