Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the Supply Chain processes aligned with the global strategy of the West Africa Business Unit. Leads Supply Chain operations in regards with technical and logistics to satisfy market demand at targeted cost and efficiently (right cost, right service). Works closely with the sales team to develop both short-term and long-term customer demand plans. Manages inventory levels at local warehouse to support best-in-class product availability while managing product dating.

Tasks:

Lead the Operations at BU Level to ensure an effective alignment of the different areas of the company in the planning & operational execution processes.

Review Demand planning inputs and demand forecast at a local level.

Manage local warehouse and logistics executed internally. Responsible for meeting key metrics including OTD, cost, quality of service, etc.

Validate risks and opportunities, ensure that customer’s terms and conditions are reflected in supply agreements.

Control inventory management and inventory accuracy. This includes executing proper oversight and audit of methodologies used to ensure control of inventory during all phases of supply chain process.

Ensure availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.

Complies with WAC region legal requirements by anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Ensure compliance with Legal, Quality and EHS requirements.

Lead the team, acting as a role model for all the members. Delegate responsibilities, supervise performance and work as well as motivate the team to meet goals.

Supervise direct reports including work assignments, weekly time sheet approval, performance evaluations, development plans and other issues relating to daily work and overall career development.

Manage the budget of the department and supervise its fulfillment, carrying out the control of costs and expenses.

Job Requirement:
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree required with a degree in supply chain or related field.

Masters or MBA preferred.
-
Languages: English.

Advanced MS-Office
Experience
-
10 years in similar positions or a progressive experience (desirable in HQ and plants) in a management role.
-
Experience in multinational environments.
-
Experience in SCM, planning, purchasing and logistics.
-
Planning Software knowledge.
Technical & Functional Capabilities
-
Solid understanding of demand/supply planning, operations and transportation.

Strong database reporting experience
-
Strong quantitative/problem-solving skills including experience developing complex spreadsheets
-
Business accounting skills.
