Craving 4 Development, an International non-governmental organization working at empowering the African youth with the requisite developmental skills to be independent, pro-active, self-reliant and assertive in order to be a difference and make an impact in society. We aim at facilitating access to affordable finance and networking opportunities for the entrepreneurial driven African youth via the partners, associates and sponsors.  



Craving 4 Development are looking to work with a talented Social Media & Business Development Coordinator to administer our social media accounts, combined with being able to identify investment leads, pitch ideas to new investors and maintain a good working relationship with new clients.




  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals

  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor reviews

  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)

  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

  • Responsible for researching on innovative entrepreneurial endeavours in Africa

  • Responsible for doing detailed research on support needed for African entrepreneurs around the continent. This would include sourcing clients for the organization with regards to business support or investment visits.

  • Responsible for Researching on how to create an edge for African business initiatives

  • Responsible for researching on trends in Social media management and online education and presence. This would include finding trending content to keep the organization ahead and giving better understanding to management of what the need or reality of youth and where they need support.

  • Responsible for the development of C4D on the continent by researching on possible partnership with African organizations or businesses to build sustainable, healthy and productive communities.

  • Responsible for Researching on ways of promoting business possibilities across African countries and ways of opening the SL investment landscape to investors across the continent

  • Responsible for Research on ways to better market products across the continent using detailed compilation of lucrative business ideas, market opportunities and inspiring success stories from across Africa

  • You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers.

  • You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

  • To be up-to-date with social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

  • To handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement

  • Great educational background, preferably in the fields of Business Development, Sales management

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Proficiency in English

  • Market knowledge

  • Communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build rapport

  • Time management and planning skills

  • Proven work experience as a Social media manager

  • Hands on experience in content management

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

  • Solid knowledge of keyword research and Google Analytics

  • Social Media Marketing experience.

  • Experience developing social media strategies.

  • Experience working with and developing a marketing plan.

  • Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform.

  • Proven ability to build social media communities.

  • Understanding of graphic design principles.

  • Experience as a Brand Manager on social media.

  • Ability to measure the success of campaigns.

  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field would be advantageous
