Senior Legal Officer - Bank in Sierra Leone

  • Maintain statutory books and file returns

  • Promptly communicate new enactments to staff in a simple and concise manner

  • Prepare new and review existing Facility, Security and Contract agreements

  • Execute and perfect documents to ensure that they are legally enforceable

  • Provide advice on legal issues or problems

  • Manage relationships with external solicitors

  • Resolve disputes and/or litigation

  • Recover assets pledged for non-performing facilities

  • Support in Organising Board/ Committee meetings and record minute

  • Support in Organising Annual General meetings and record minutes

  • Collate and distribute reports to provide the Board and Credit Examiners Committee with performance updates on the institution


Minimum Qualification:


  • Bachelor of Law degree

  • Passed the Bar exams

  • Practiced for a minimum of two years

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity

  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information

  • Outstanding communication skills
