    Job Title:   S&J Program Coordinator

    Organization: Cordaid

     

    Full-time: 40 Hours a Week
    Annual Salary: 90-120 Million Leones based on experience

     

    Locations: The Program Coordinator will be based in the Cordaid Sierra Leone Freetown office with possible international travel to any Cordaid Country Office. He/she be reporting to the Cordaid Sierra Leone Country Director and collaborating actively with the experts of the S&J Unit at Cordaid’s Global Office in The Netherlands.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Under overall guidance and direct supervision of the Country Director, the S&J Program Coordinator will be responsible for all following functions, in no particular order of priority,

     

    • Facilitate and co-conduct a mapping and analysis of the pilot site and prospects for application of the RBF for S&J approach, including opportunities and threats

    • Secure approval from senior officials in the relevant security and justice institutions

    • Secure ownership and engagement with security and justice providers at local level and other key stakeholder including community organizations (esp. women’s groups and youth associations), informal leaders, local government officials,

    • Assume responsibility for management of the pilot project in line with performance

    •  Develop a pilot project planning framework, including intended outputs, timeframe, and expenditure plan in accordance with the budget envelope

    • Identify local implementing partners for (a) contracting and purchasing and (b) technical verification and community verification

    • Assess identified local stakeholders’ capacity to contribute to implementation of the pilot, and formulate capacity development strategies and plans as necessary

    • Initiate and facilitate the participatory indicator development and validation at the pilot site

    • standards and utilizing the appropriate Cordaid Sierra Leone systems, including management of the budget

    • Participate in project-related peer exchange, technical assistance and learning activities, including possible travel to DRC and Uganda

    • Support Cordaid Sierra Leone to identify opportunities for development of new S&J programming, in collaboration with Cordaid’s global S&J Unit, and including identification of possible external donor support for S&J projects
