Job Title: ROM Pad Supervisor
Reports to: Grade Control Geologist

ROM Pad Supervisor required for mining company in Marampa, Sierra Leone.

Role purpose

The ROM pad Supervisor provides leadership and direction to material blending and feeding from various figures on the ROM pad according to plant call. His presence is to coordinate and control all stockpiling and rehandling activities.



Safety Management:

  • Must ensure safe conditions at the ROM pad and implement corrective actions where necessary prior to commencement of daily task.

  • Communication of all hazard identification.

  • Zero Harm, by wearing all PPE require for the daily work must be ensured.

  • Assist in all near miss and incident/accident investigation at the ROM pad


Quality Control

  • ROM pad Supervisor must ensure that all sampling, stockpiling and re-handling are carried out to standard procedures and protocols are strictly adhered.

  • Supervise and control construction works at the ROM pad area

  • Control and maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all operational area of the ROM pad.




  • The ROM pad Supervisor must inform both subordinates and superiors of ROM pad situation and prioritise activities to safely maximise production of plant feed.

  • Act as the communication link between personnel from the Process Plant and ROM pad operations.


 Database Management

  • Keeping records of all documents as evidence of daily Tally of Ore feeding, blend, and down times of crusher and ROM pad equipment.





  • Diploma / Secondary school certificate in Science education, WASSE      

Skills (Key technical skills required):

  • Ability to speak read and write in English.

  • Proof of Supervisory skills.

  • Ability to drive light  a vehicles  an added advantage



  • Minimum of 3years working in an Iron mining industry in a similar role.



  • Must be medically and mentally fit and be able to meet and maintain Company Medical Standards.

  • Ability to work for long hours.
