A new restaurant franchise chain is looking to hire a Restaurant Manager for its first restaurant in Freetown.
Reports to: The Franchise Manager
Required qualification: A degree or Diploma in Business Studies/Management, or Hospitality Management. Qualification by experience is also considered.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years related experience. Prior experience working in a franchise restaurant chain is an added advantage.
This role has a strong hospitality element, ensuring that the restaurant delivers high-quality food and drink and excellent customer service. However, you'll also undertake activities common to business managers within any sector, including overseeing Human resources, Marketing, Operations, Sales etc
As a restaurant manager, you'll be responsible for operational, financial and people management. You'll need to:
lead the restaurant and the team, driving sales, customer experience and ensuring the business operates smoothly and profitably
organise stock and equipment, order supplies and oversee building maintenance, cleanliness and security
plan and work to budgets, achieve sales targets set by Management
coordinate staff scheduling and rota
ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and that the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations
run regular staff training and ensure high standards of customer service are maintained
handle customer complaints and queries
prepare regular (monthly) reports for management
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Very good Organisation skills
Decision making and problem-solving skills
