OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The Operations Manager will lead operations of a fast-growing lending company in Sierra Leone. The core mandate of this field work-related role will be to ensure the successful execution of the organisation's operating model in the field.

Primary job responsibilities of Operations Manager would include:
1. Master the unique operating model and ensure the principles of the model permeate throughout the operations team of the organization
2. Lead and motivate team members to advance field officers’ sense of ownership
and commitment and enable them achieve targets
3. Consistently challenge team members to operate the model at the very highest level
4. Maintain consistent field presence to develop camaraderie with field teams and to get a first-hand perspective of the model’s performance on ground
5. Identify expansion opportunities for the business across Sierra Leone and develop execution plan for successful expansion
6. Set sales and NPL targets and cascade across the organization to align incentives

Qualifications:
Over 5 years of management work experience in the Microfinance or
Telecommunications (Sales & Distribution) industry
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be Sierra Leonean and of Sierra Leonean descent
• Highly organized self-starter with grit, determination and passion for hard work
• Fast and willing learner who is adaptable to a unique SME lending model
• Capacity and stamina for continuous days of long hours of both general management
and field work
• Resilient and remains calm and deliberate under conditions of stress
• Motivator with strong people management capabilities
• Eye for mass and middle market business opportunities
• Strong analytical background
• Strong Communication and People Management, interpersonal and influencing skills
to build strong business relationships, foster stakeholder engagement, create new
partnerships and drive culture of team-oriented collaboration
• Meeting other Fit and Proper Requirements as set out by regulators.
