Job Title: Operations Manager

A marketing and digital communications firm is looking for an experienced operations manager to lead its growth and expansion in Sierra Leone. He or she will be expected to monitor and analyze service delivery to ensure effectiveness, and efficiency and to work out strategies for improving if necessary.
He or she will manage the day-to-day activities, analyzing statistics and reading and writing reports. He or she will need to liaise with other team members, including interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management as well as training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance.
Additional Responsibilities:
Markets services by managing staff; maintaining response operations; maintaining quality service delivery.
Operations Manager Job Duties:

Maintains marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.

Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Maintains customer response operations by establishing work schedules; assigning employees; providing back-up.

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing standards; training representatives; monitoring calls; surveying customers; evaluating outcomes.

Resolves customer problems by training service representatives; maintaining dialogue guides; providing information; answering questions.

Maintains work process flows by coordinating information and requirements with related operational departments; participating with and providing resources to business improvement teams.

Keeps management informed by preparing reports; making presentations; interpreting information; making recommendations.

Maintains equipment and other company property in good working order.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Qualification Required & Experience:

The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or other related discipline with five years of working experience in a related field. Masters Degree holders need only have a minimum of three years work experience.

The candidate must be able to work well under pressure, and tight deadlines.

The candidate must be technologically and social media savvy and must have a working computer and smart phone.

The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, and no criminal record

The candidate must have excellent commercial approach to solving problems and developing business processes and must also possess management skills, with the ability to manage performance and motivate staff on an individual basis and team level.

The candidate must be able to ensure tight control on operational costs.

The successful candidate must clearly understand the goals of the company and develop a clear vision of exactly how operations will help achieve them.

This manager must be able to create, manage and analyze performance data, and conduct research.

The candidate shall perform other related duties as required.
Salary – 5m – 7 m (based on experience)
