JOB PURPOSE:                    

To provide support to the Finance Coordinator for the various management of the finance functions.




  • Supervising and maintaining of relevant records and preparation of final accounts and reporting on all funds.

  • Liaising with other departments on all matters affecting budgetary control, financial and management reporting, control and monitoring of budget expenditure.

  • Coordinating and processing of account payable and receivables including verification and coding procedures to ensure accuracy.

  • Controlling the issue of cheques and other negotiable instructions and ensuring compliance with proper banking procedures.

  • Recommending payments in accordance with approved commitments / budgets.

  • Assessing of all investment proposals.

  • Preparing and analyzing of monthly financial statements and additional reports for management.

  • Responsible for all inventory control procedures

  • Reviewing daily cash and bank transaction and reports.

  • Supervising approvals, process data, ensuring compliance with company procedures, policies and general accounting practices, maintaining appropriate internal controls.

  • Reviewing debtors and creditor ledger.

  • Discussing important matters with National Revenue Authority and Government Institutions as instructed by the finance coordinator.

  • Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Finance Coordinator.

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance or a recognized professional accounting qualification at least certificate stage of ACCA / ICASL.




  • At least 4-5 years accounting experience in both financial and management accounting at a senior level.




  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Sound understanding of computerized accounting systems.

  • Sound understanding of double entry principles.

  • Ability to work in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and proven ability in English language.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • High level of interpersonal, cross-cultural and negotiation skills.

  • Performance driven leadership with strong profit and accountability focus.
