The 50-50 Group and Search for Common Ground supported by the European Union is implementing a project titled: “Beyond Politics of Men: Empowering women to be effective political actors in Sierra Leone” that aims to support women in politics to better engage politically and be prepared to effectively take part in politics and political leadership. This 36-month project therefore seeks to foster an increased participation of women in political and public life, reinforcing the long-held view that there is a need for dedicated long-term support to enhance women’s political participation.

As such we are seeking interns to work closely with female MPs providing support in a number of roles including but not limited to research, speech writing and media support. The would-be Interns will be under the direct supervision of the 50/50 president and will be assigned to the offices of the current 18 female members of parliament.
