Wusum hotel in Makeni, Sierra Leone is now accepting applications for a General Manager position for a 1 year contract and possibility of extension.

The General Manager will be responsible for managing the operations and profitability of the assigned hotel;
Report directly to ownership and work closely with board representatives to ensure a good flow of communication
Maintain superior guest satisfaction, directly recruit and develop hotel team;
Proactively create & implement strategies to enhance the profitability and revenue generation of the hotel.
This position will be accountable for areas in Financial Management, Revenue Management, Sales and Marketing, Guest Satisfaction, Organizational Leadership, People Development, Account Management, Information Management & Reporting, and Asset Management.
Candidate should possess a diploma or a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or hotel management
Candidate should have a minimum of ……FIVE………. Years working’ experience as GM with a solid track record.
Candidate should be familiar with the following tools:
Property management systems (Opera, Front desk Anywhere, Maestro and Anand Software system
Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
This person must have strong leadership skills and be well organized.
Must have ability to lead all departments and help drive the revenue and quality of the hotel operations.
Wusum hotel is a family fully owned hotel located in Makeni, Sierra Leone. The hotel has 54 rooms and operates 1 restaurant, 2 bars, and a multipurpose conference center. A fully functioning gym and onsite club.
