    JOB OVERVIEW: The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the office and kitchen(s) and ensure customers have a pleasant experience.

     

    MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate and supervise daily office management operations

    • Knowledge of budgets, inventory and cost controls.

    • Estimate future needs for goods, utensils, and cleaning products

    • Budget preparation

    • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

    • Monitor store and keep updated records and inventory

    • Create detailed weekly, monthly, and annual report on expenses and income

    • Ensure efficient office andkitchen operation, as well as maintain high productivity, quality, and customer service standards

    • Regularly review food quality and suggest ways to improve

    • Promote brand and recommend ways to reach a broader audience

    • Research new vendors

    • Coordinate kitchen operations

    • Oversee food preparation, orders and delivery

    • Supervise all junior staff and able to step in if needed

    • Oversee staff attendance and conduct

    • Motivate staff to provide excellent service

    • Handle complains and issues from both customers and staff

    • Organize shift for staff (when applicable)

    • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback

    • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

    • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future operations

    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the food and beverage industry

    • Ensure compliance with sanitation, health and safety regulations

    • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

    • Other tasks as directed

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

     

    Qualifications:  .

    • A bachelor’s degree in business management or Hospitality. Qualification by experience will also be considered

     

    Experience:

    Minimum 2 years previous experience in the food and beverage industry, with experience in budget making

     

    Skills:

    • Management skills in both front and back office

    • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

    • Extensive food and beverage knowledge

    • Customer orientation and ability to respond to different types of characters

    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

    • Strong organizational and planning skills

    • Acute financial management skills

    • Organised and able to meet deadlines

    • Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks or requests simultaneously

    • Attention to detail

    • Must be able to work in a team

    • Must be proactive, and able to use discretion and judgment

    • Strong problem solver and analytical thinker

     

     

    PERFORMANCE GOALS:

    • Ensure all orders are delivered in less than hour from the time order is placed

    • Deal with clients and other employees professionally at all times

    • Ensure office/kitchen is clean and presentable at all times

    • Ensure client data is always up to date
