Starting operation in Sierra Leone is one of its commitments to help poor people in Africa. To better manage its business and to achieve its goal ASA Microfinance (Sierra Leone) Ltd. is seeking applications from Sierra Leoneans for a Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:

Preparing monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial statements which consist all financial statements in compliance withtherequirements of local regulatory bodies and group management within the deadline.

Prepare annual budget for operation and monitor and control the cost in accordance with budgetMonitoring cash/ bank payment daily basis

Check and verify daily expenses and make sure the proper accounting entry as par IAS/IFRS.

Ensure smooth fund movement from /to different unit offices/branches and effective record of the transactions at both Head Office and Branch level.

Liaison with Central Bank and revenue offices for better compliance

Liaison with servicing banks for proper fund management

Liaison with parent company for day to day requirements

Supervise department and manage the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner

Train field staff for smooth record keeping at unit level

Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records.

Ensure proper tax planning and compliance according with the requirement of tax law of the country.

Provide support, service and advise in all finance matters to CEO.

Other accounting works such as bank reconciliation, journal entry and internal control in terms of payment.

Salary: Negotiable
Educational Requirements: MBA/ Masters in Accounting/ Finance with ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA/ ACMA
Experience Requirements: At least 4 year(s)
The applicants would be given preference if they have experience in the following area(s):

Knowledge in preparing the financial reports of financial institutions.

Experience to work in an institution having operation with branch network.
