    Job Title: Clinical Research Associate                                                                                            
    Date: 24 January 2015
     

     

    Growing and well-respected biomedical (clinical, basic and applied) research firm has openings in West Africa and are currently seeking a Clinical Research Associate (renewable 6-month contract) for the Sierra Leone area.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Participates in ongoing protocol and CRF training at the site.

    • Provides site training as needed on an ongoing basis.

    • Participates in the generation of study specific monitoring plans.

    • Participate in the development of protocols and CRFs.

    • Develop study reference materials such as the manual of operations and site training materials.

    • Collects essential documents.

    • Completes prestudy visits.

    • Participates in investigator and site initiation meetings.

    • Tracks progress of identified studies.

    • Performs on-site and remote monitoring activities.

    • Ensures protection of research subjects by verifying informed consent and protocol requirements are met.

    • Reviews source documents.

    • Identification and follow up of SAEs through review of source documents.

    • Ensures site documents are complete and up to date throughout study.

    • Completes investigational product accountability.

    • Completes monitoring reports, identifying action items and plans for resolution.

    • Facilitiates communication between site PI and firm.

    • Follows SOPs, ICH Guidelines and FDA regulation

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • College degree, health sciences preferred, 2 years clinical research experience with one of these years as a clinical research associate, experience monitoring Phase I-III studies, knowledge of ICH guidelines and GCP,  detail oriented, proficient computer skills, excellent verbal and written skills

    • Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
