OVERVIEW:
Bread Avenue, a bakery and patisserie operating in Wellington, is hiring a Bar Attendant with the following responsibilities:

Plan and present the bar menu
-
Prepare cocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with recipes
-
Take orders of drinks and snacks and offer recommendations
-
Serve snacks and drinks to customers in a prompt and professional manner
-
Address customer inquiries
-
Manage challenging customer situations and know when to escale to Management
-
Verify age of customers before serving them alcohol or tobacco products, to ensure legal drinking age compliance
-
Refuse service to underage or intoxicated individuals
-
Keep the bar area clean and organised
-
Ensure bar is stocked in accordance with Bread Avenue's policy
-
Ensure bar equipment and tools are clean and in working order
-
Have a thorough understanding of Bread Avenue's drinks and snacks menu
-
Maintain a friendly and inviting atmosphere for customers

Experience in beverage preparation and service

Able to stand for long periods of time

Able to work unsupervised

Able to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment

Practice basic food hygiene and safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling beverages
