The Company:
The business is a CPA Firm Headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia with offices in Huntsville, Alabama and Johannesburg, South Africa. The firm specializes in Government Contracting work.
Summary/Objective:
Reporting to the Head of Mission, the Assistant Manager will perform the day-to-day interface with the client relative to the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Guinea. He/She will assist in providing fiduciary and accounting information in regard to the firm’s overall management activities in relation to the MOH of Guinea for US Government contracts received. He/She will be expected to be able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Job Duties:

Be a part of the team that carries out an assessment of the financial system to meet the objectives of risk management and assessment.

Monitor adherence to established internal controls with particular emphasis on reporting, cash receipts and cash disbursements related to the contract.

Understand the US Government’s Payment Management System (PMS) and how it relates to the cash receipts and disbursements.

Ensures input and approval for all receipts and disbursements and monitors cash flows.
Job Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience with government contracting, financial management, accounting/audit preparation and support

Knowledge of International Accounting Standards and GAAP of the United States.

Excellent quality control and detail oriented with strong ability to perceive and analyze problems, as well as develop, recommend, and implement practical solutions

Ability to prioritize effectively and execute tasks in order to meet aggressive timelines

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills, as well as tact and diplomacy sufficient to gain the respect of client and employees

Excellent written communications skills, with the ability to write conversationally (for emails) and to succinctly and effectively describe low-level technical issues

Effective presentation and organizational skills, and is confident and compelling in client presentations, discoveries and meetings

Proficient in TomPro and QuickBooks accounting systems and Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point)
EDUCATION & Professional Qualification:
-
B.S. in Accounting Required and Masters in Business Administration Preferred

Project Management Experience
-
Trained in US Government Contracting
-
CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred

Fluent in French and English
