BACKGROUND

​

The Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) - Sierra Leone, collaborating with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) of the Government of the United State of America, delivers projects under the $500 million Compact that address development challenges in the country through the implementation of the Power Sector Reform Project, the Transmission Backbone Project, and the Distribution and Access Project. 

 

MCA Sierra Leone is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Logistics.

POSITION SUMMARY

​

The Assistant Logistics works closely with the Manager Safety and Security and under the overall supervision of the Director of Administration to ensure a smooth day-to-day management and operation of the MCA-SL’s facilities and fleet including the supervision and coordination of the flow of goods.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES)

​

Education

• University degree required.

• Further education or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Facilities Management, Security, Safety or related field desirable.

 

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in in Logistics, Supply Chain, Facilities Management, Security, Safety or related field.

• Experience working with international organizations or donors a plus.

Competencies

• Have strong computer skills with proficiency in the use of common Microsoft Office applications (Word, and Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar office suit.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, and fluency in the local language(s) is required.

• Strong attention to detail, coordination and organisational skills, ability to work under pressure, and solid communication skills.
