INTRODUCTION

 

An organisation in the automotive industry in Sierra Leone seeks an Aftersales Director to perform the following tasks:

​

Commercial / Marketing

  • Define and deploy the parts and services strategy for your entity, in alignment with Group objectives.

  • Establish and manage the budget and marketing plan for the activity.

  • Take responsibility for actions related to revenue development, customer portfolio growth, coordination, and business processing.

  • Analyze sales figures (Revenue, Gross Margin, Market Share) and propose actions to stimulate and develop sales.

  • Ensure responses to tenders from companies and public administrations.

  • Monitor and manage the After‑Sales Network for Parts and Garages.

 

Management

  • Build, organize, implement, and develop teams to ensure optimal customer service.

  • Define and monitor the sales targets for workshop and parts teams.

  • Lead the Services and Spare Parts teams.

  • Lead the branches concerning the Service activity.

  • Ensure training of teams in coordination with headquarters and manufacturers.

  • Define training plans for teams together with direct reports (N-1).

 

Procurement and Warehouse

  • Manage the procurement process with suppliers.

  • Be responsible for preparing maritime orders (monthly, bi‑monthly, or weekly).

  • Organize / prepare daily inventories and the general “Spare Parts” inventory.

  • Ensure good stock quality and rotation.

 

Quality

  • Guarantee the application of internal control rules for the activity.

  • Guarantee hygiene, safety, working conditions, and the application of Group environmental standards within the scope of activity.

  • Define performance levels to be achieved in “customer service”.

  • Enhance the subsidiary’s brand image through attentive customer service.

  • Ensure target customer satisfaction levels in the workshop and parts department, and lead corrective action plans when necessary.

 

Management / Reporting

  • Manage the flow of orders, procurement, stock, and deliveries.

  • Ensure workshop productivity and labor profitability goals are met.

  • Monitor the budget and produce reporting (for headquarters and manufacturers).

  • Manage communication with the manufacturer (Country Manager) to ensure recommendations are applied.

  • Ensure the implementation of warranty processes according to manufacturer rules

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Desired Profile:

 

Required Education

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.

  • Significant experience in a senior management position within the parts and services sector, ideally gained in Africa or a complex international environment.

  • Strong knowledge of logistics and commercial challenges related to spare parts distribution.

  • Proven managerial skills with the ability to inspire, unite, and develop teams.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive and strongly results‑oriented.

  • Excellent command of both French and English is essential.
